Iran adult-only film ‘Asphyxia’ unveils official trailer

Official trailer for Iranian adult-only film ‘Asphyxia’ directed by Fereydoun Jeyrani has been unveiled.

Iranian actors Elnaz Shakerdoust and Navid Mohammadzadeh star in the flick which is set to screen at Iran theaters soon.

Mahya Petrosian and Poulad Kimiaee are some of the other key cast in Jeyrani’s film rated as an adult-only film.

"Masoud’s wife suffers from nervous tensions and he has to takes her to the psychiatric hospital,” a brief synopsis for the film read.

Having a social theme, the script of ‘Asphyxia’ is written by Jeyrani himself.

Jeyrani made his stage debut with acting in a play named ‘Esmat’ in 1972.

He entered the film industry by writing the screenplay for a movie by Mehdi Sabaghzadeh in 1981 and continued writing until 1987 when he directed his first movie.

He has directed several movies, including ‘Red’ (1998), ‘Fire and Water’ (2000), ‘The Last Supper’ (2001), ‘Pink’ (2002), ‘Season Salad’ (2004), ‘Zagros’ (2005), the trilogy of ‘Stars’ (2005), ‘Parkway’ (2006), ‘Parya's Story’ (2010), and ‘I'm a Mother’ (2010).

In addition to directing features, Jeyrani is also a producer, cinematographer, screenplay writer, television anchor and journalist.
